Innovation thriving at Inline Plastics

With all the new product launches happening at Inline Plastics Corp., based in Shelton, CT, it’s no surprise that the company considers innovation chief to its mission of being a top company in the field.

“Innovation is at our core,” said Sarah Korwek, product manager for Inline Plastics Corp. “We are continually working on new product offerings, new technologies and bringing packaging solutions to the marketplace that meet consumer demands and maximize merchandising opportunities for retailers.”

SquareWare-Snackers Recent launches at the company include expanding its Safe-T-Fresh family of products with multiple styles of PagodaWare, its sleek and uniquely pagoda-shaped containers, and SnackWare, snack-sized packaging that offers multiple compartments for mixing and matching.

In the coming weeks, Inline will also be announcing its newest Safe-T-Fresh product, SquareWare Snackers, miniature two, four, six and eight-ounce leak resistant and tamper evident products that will be used to package toppings, spices, sauces and grab-and-go snacks.

“Consumers have made it clear they want healthy food options in safe, convenient, and environmentally responsible containers,” Korwek said. “Inline continues to refine and expand our Safe-T-Fresh line with greater size variations to meet the needs of consumers, while manufacturing our products with DPET — a patented material that has a lower carbon footprint, uses less energy, and is 100 percent curbside recyclable.”

Inline recently invested and launched a new Innovation Center in Milford, CT.

“After a year of planning and construction, the new research, development and engineering center is the home of a high-powered team dedicated to creatively collaborating and streamlining the development of the next generation of Inline products,” Korwek said.

“This dedicated facility is purposely designed and positioned to drive the product growth of the company in the coming years.”

In 2018, Inline celebrated its 50th Anniversary, a milestone achievement for a privately held company that started in the basement of a home in Bridgeport, CT, and now has manufacturing facilities across the United States and is considered a leading pioneer in packaging technologies.

“We attribute this longevity and year-after-year growth to our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction,” Korwek said. “As a family-owned organization, the company is proud that the third generation of Orkisz-family leadership has joined the operations and will continue the traditions and guide the innovations that resulted in past success while preparing for a future of continued growth.”
