Ippolito International expands sales team with two industry veterans

Ippolito International has expanded its sales team with the addition of Henry Dill as vice president of sales and Sarah Clarke as sales and commodity manager.

Dill was most recently with PIM of Salinas, CA, where he spent 22 years in sales and sales manager roles. He began his foray into the produce industry in 1979 with the Garin Co., and did sales stints at Bruce Church, Code (which later merged with Fresh Network) and D’Arrigo Bros. before joining PIM. At Ippolito he will provide sales direction as well as share his knowledge of the production process to the sales team, while staying in contact with the numerous customer-friends he has cultivated over the years.Henry-DillHenry Dill

“I feel like I’m coming home,” Dill said in a press release. “My grandfather was a California farmer in the 1920s and my uncles followed him, so growing produce is in my roots. Unlike many other companies, Ippolito is a ground-based producer, which allows firm control of all stages of production. It’s great to have that control to ensure the consistency of quality for which Ippolito in known.”

Dill attended Santa Clara University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in finance.

Clarke brings 14 years of produce industry experience, most recently at Dole where she spent more than 12 years in sales. She sold the full Fresh Pack line, Food Service line and provided customer service for the full Value Added line. Her territories included the Midwest and the Southeast. Clarke graduated from Fresno State with a bachelor's degree in finance, and entered the produce industry working for Colorful Harvest.Sarah ClarkeSarah Clarke

“We are extremely fortunate to bring in Henry and Sarah with their wealth of expertise," Dan Canales, senior vice president of sales, said in the press release. "Henry has deep knowledge of all aspects of production, foodservice and retail business, and outstanding team management skills. We are excited to have him oversee our sales team. And Sarah will be a great asset to our customer service and relationships. We are thrilled to have them both join our already stellar team,” he said.

"As we continue to grow and diversify our product line, it's imperative we have a rock-solid sales team," Ron Mondo, Ippolito International partner, said in the release. "I’m proud of what we’ve built and look forward to expanding upon that base with Henry at the helm and Sarah as part of the team.”

Ippolito International is a second-generation farming company offering year-round supplies of premium-quality Queen Victoria and Coast King brand vegetables. The company is one of North America’s largest suppliers of fresh Brussels sprouts and also offers a full line of mainstream produce items, mixed and specialty vegetables, organic salads and value- added items.
