Ben B. driven by hard work, quality and service

Fourth-generation owned-and-operated Ben B. Schwartz & Sons attributes much of its success to giving its customers what they want — quality and service. This has been the company’s mission since it first opened its doors in 1906.

Stone added that co-owner and president, Chris Billmeyer, has always thought of himself as lucky, noting his motto is “the harder you work, the luckier you become,” which has certainly been the case for the crew at Ben B. Schwartz & Sons.

“Ben B. is driven by hard work,” said Stone.

And “work hard” mentality is extended to trade shows as well.

Stone will be attending the upcoming Southern Exposure conference, Feb. 27-29 in Tampa, FL, on behalf of the company, and is excited about seeing old friends and making new ones.

“We always get a lot done at these shows,” Stone told The Produce News. “We believe that they offer a great value to our company. Southern Exposure consistently has the types of events, exhibitors and attendees, that make going to the trade show fun and worthwhile. We have a lot of success attending it.”

Following Southern Exposure, Stone will also be making his way to the Viva Fresh Expo, April 30-May 2 in San Antonio, TX.
