Allegiance Retail Services 2018 holiday show well attended

ag1SECAUCUS, NJ — Allegiance Retail Services LLC's 2018 Holiday Food Show was well attended, with 48 fresh produce booths displaying a wide variety of items from around the country. The annual event was held Thursday, June 21 — the first day of summer — at the Meadowlands Exposition Center, here.

"We're really trying to showcase holiday-related items and some new items as well," Dean Holmquist, vice president of perishables at Allegiance, told The Produce News during the show. "It gives an opportunity for our members to see some new items."

The 2018 show was the first one attended by Kelly Davis, who was named director of produce and floral back in late April. "I'm looking forward to meeting produce managers and store personnel that I haven't had a chance to meet," she said.

Allegiance Retail Services LLC is a retailer-owned cooperative headquartered in Iselin, NJ.
